Recently, the Guangxi Ubridge Labor Union planned and organized a competition themed “Training for the posts and competing in skills” to pay tribute to the workers!
The competition is to inspire the staff to consciously improve their theoretical understanding and operating skills and form a corporate culture of “learn techniques, practice skills, be competent, and make contributions”. It is part of Guangxi Ubridge’s effort in correctly guiding the staff to incorporate the idea of “to love your job and strive for excellence in it” into the daily management.
The welding competition was divided into three segments: flat seam welding, surfacing welding, and pipeline welding, with relatively clear and definite competition rules and scoring standards for each segment. The evaluation group of the competition was composed of 5 engineers from the company, responsible for the fair and agreed scoring of the competition results of all participating employees. Before the competition, the company also did the pre-competition mobilization and a warm-up simulation contest. A total of 24 contestants registered for the competition.
As the process of competition always comes with a little bit of tension, a wave of defiance, and a sense of indomitability, none of the participating team members slacked off. They all wanted to prove themselves and present the most perfect performance. Everyone was incredibly serious since the start of the competition, checking every detail, carefully selecting the electrodes, and debugging the current. And they were even more so after the completion of the work, checking again and again to make sure that the work was perfect before they handed it in. ‘After the final evaluation, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes were selected. The winners of the first prize were awarded RMB 500, the second prize winners RMB 300, and the third prize winners RMB 200, all with certificates of honor.
After the award presentation, Mr. He Jun, Chairman of the Guangxi Ubridge Labor Union, put forward a proposal for this technical competition. He hoped that Ubridge could take this technical competition as an opportunity to set off a trend of business knowledge and skills learning and continuous improvement of business skills. He also hoped that the outstanding individuals emerging from this activity would do a good job in “passing on one's experience to new hands”, teaching their experience and skills to their colleagues, improving the operation of the overall technical team, providing reliable technical support for the company's production safety to promote its sustainable, stable and healthy development.
